Allow three days for Kraków’s Old Town, Wawel, and Kazimierz or Podgórze. Add separate days for major excursions beyond the city. A memorial visit should have its own thoughtful allowance rather than being squeezed between entertainment bookings.

Group the historic areas with care

The Main Market Square and Old Town streets make one walking block. Give Wawel’s selected interiors sufficient time, and plan Kazimierz and nearby Podgórze as another focus. Avoid repeating the same general walking circuit through several products.

Choose the atmosphere around your base

Old Town suits central access; Kazimierz offers a different neighborhood setting. Check street noise and the actual walk from your arrival point. A station-adjacent hotel can be useful if its route to your main visits is straightforward.

Check which interiors and sites are included

Wawel tickets can cover different exhibitions, so identify the ones you want. For Auschwitz-Birkenau or Wieliczka excursions, confirm the actual admissions, language, walking demands, and return arrangements. These are distinct outings and need more than a generic half-day label.
