Plan the Mara as a safari stay

We suggest three nights when the approach journey and budget allow, with at least two nights for a less hurried introduction. This is a reserve-area trip, not a city sightseeing allocation.

Match the camp to the game-drive area

Ask whether the package operates in the reserve or a neighboring conservancy and what access is included. The accommodation’s broad Mara label does not establish the route or fee arrangements.

Compare the full safari package

Check transfers, guiding, vehicle sharing, meals, and park charges. Extra drives can offer more opportunities but never guarantee a species or migration event. Avoid buying activities already included in the lodge program.

Keep arrival and return realistic

Agree the airstrip or road collection point with the operator before booking connections. Leave room for the final transfer and baggage handling. More nights can add depth without changing camp and repeating travel.
