Four days with space for the coast

We suggest four days for a beach base, Phuket Old Town, and one island or bay outing. Add time for genuine beach rest rather than several near-identical boat tours. Your arrival beach and excursion pier may be on different sides of the island.

Separate Old Town from boat days

Give Old Town a food-and-streets block, and choose another day for a water excursion. Leave a flexible day around the sailing when possible. A long hotel pickup route can make an advertised short cruise a much larger commitment.

Choose your beach before your hotel

Compare the atmosphere and location of Patong, Kata, or another coastal area with your priorities. A convenient base for evening dining may be farther from a boat departure. Ask the operator whether your hotel area is included in the pickup price.

Compare the actual island itinerary

Phi Phi and Phang Nga Bay are different outings. Check the boat type, pier, stops, and time ashore rather than choosing by a broad island-tour label. Confirm current operating arrangements and weather-related changes before fixing another paid activity immediately after the return.
