We suggest planning three or four days when Puerto Maldonado is the gateway to a lodge experience. A transfer night in town serves a different purpose. Decide on the main excursion before assigning separate city sightseeing days.

Ask about airport collection, road and boat legs, meals, guiding, and the final return. A lodge booking can already include the activities that appear separately in search results. Compare the actual route and accommodation before buying additional tours.

Keep arrival and departure realistic
