How many days in Zurich?

We suggest two full days for the city and lake, with a third for a specific additional interest. A mountain excursion needs separate time and should not replace nearly all of a short city stay.

Keep the old town and river together

Choose one guided introduction, then explore independently around the areas that interest you. Pair a museum with a manageable nearby route rather than crossing the city for several short stops.

Compare lake outings by departure

Check the actual pier, route, and current timetable before making another reservation. A full lake excursion is different from a short city cruise. Compare ticket or pass inclusions before buying twice.

Use transit access to choose the base

Look at the walk to your station and the airport connection, not simply the hotel’s central label. Keep luggage collection outside the last sightseeing block. Another local day can support depth without more transfers.
