Two or three days beyond the airport

Allow two or three days for Lima’s historic center, coastal neighborhoods, and food. Add time for major collections or a slower stay. An airport connection alone is not a full sightseeing day, especially when road travel is involved.

Separate the historic center and coast

Give the older center its own block with a chosen interior. Miraflores and Barranco offer a different coastal and neighborhood focus. Include transport between these areas instead of assuming consecutive short visits can be reached quickly on foot.

Choose your base around your evenings

Miraflores and Barranco suit different mixes of accommodation, dining, and neighborhood walks. Compare your exact pickup point and airport transfer. A hotel convenient for evening restaurants may still require a substantial trip to the historical sights.

Leave room for the food experience

A market visit, cooking class, and tasting menu serve different purposes. Check the meal size and dietary arrangements before booking more than one on the same day. For a museum tour, confirm the actual collection visited and leave enough time to enjoy it.
